Why You Shouldn’t Be Afraid to Share “Simple” Things in coding

The more we follow incredibly talented engineers, especially those discussing advanced topics like software architecture across different platforms, the more we start to hesitate. Not because we’re not learning, but because we begin to feel like what we know isn’t “enough” to share (IF WE LIKE TO SHARE WHAT WE LEARN OF COURSE).

You might find yourself thinking:

  • This is too basic…
  • Everyone already knows this…
  • I should wait until I have something more advanced… and so on.

And slowly, without noticing, you stop sharing.

The Problem with This?

This way of thinking goes against the very nature of learning. Learning isn’t a one-shot session,
It’s not about reaching a level where suddenly your thoughts become “worthy” of being shared, It’s cumulative.

Every advanced concept you admire today is built on layers of simple ideas that someone, at some point, took the time to understand and to explain.

So when you avoid sharing small things, you’re actually interrupting your own learning process without knowing..

Sharing Is Part of Learning!

IF you enjoy sharing what you learn, whether to reinforce your understanding or to help others, then that alone is a valid reason. You don’t need to wait for a “deep” topic.

Talk about:

  • A built-in function you just discovered,
  • A small detail in a framework you’re using,
  • A concept that finally got after confusion…

These are not “small” things. They are the building blocks of real knowledge, and chances are, someone out there needs exactly that explanation.

You’re Comparing the Wrong Things!

There’s a well known reminder I always come back to:

“Don’t compare your planting season to someone else’s harvest.”

When you scroll through LinkedIn or any platform, you’re often seeing the result of years of experience, learning, and iteration. Comparing that to your current stage will only hold you back.

Instead, focus on your own process:

  • Are you learning consistently?
  • Are you improving, even with small steps?
  • Are you engaging with what you learn?

If the answer is YES/ALMOST YES, then you’re on the right path.

Your Value Doesn’t Decrease

Sharing something simple does not reduce your value. It doesn’t make you look less knowledgeable.

It shows:

  • You are actively learning
  • You are not afraid to express what you understand
  • You are building your knowledge step by step

And that’s far more meaningful than trying to appear “advanced” all the time.

Ends Thought

Keep sharing if you love it.

Not just when things feel impressive, but especially when they feel simple. Because those “simple” things are exactly what describe and push your growth, and probably someone else’s too.
